Ok, I got tagged by Jill so here goes......
I was 4 almost 5. Life to me was great!! My Dad would come home from work at the Railroad (yup - same as my Scotty!!) and I would climb up on his lap. He would undo the hook on his overalls so I didn't hurt my head when I snuggled in. I was Daddy's Little Girl!! I looked alot like Sydney does now.
I was 14 and still a pretty good kid. Though my family had been through many difficult things we had hung in there and stayed VERY close. My mom had just been re-baptised and was dating Frank Cloward. They were married for a short time and ever since he has been my "biological step-dad." Even though it didn't work out with my Mom and Frank I have stayed very close to him. My Dad passed away when I was 9 and when I hit the teenage years I needed a Dad -Frank took the job - which I assure you was no easy task!! That is where Daxx's name came from. (Daxx Cloward Vincent) Love you Frank!!
We had been married a year and a half and sealed for 6 months. I was 3 months pregnant with Owen so the fun that was yet to be hadn't quite started. Life was pretty quiet and easy going for us at that point.
Let's see, Owen was 1 1/2 years old and I was barely pregnant with my girl, Sydney. We had been in our cute little house for a little over a year and life was great!!
We had just sold our first real house and decided to make the big move to American Fork. We thought we would save money on gas and stuff since Scott would mostly be working out of SLC. He had started working for the railroad in November and was excited to begin really working. The move to AF was pointless - I spent more on gas coming home to Spanish than we saved!! Except that we met our good friends Matt and Alyson. They have a son named Ky that is Owens bff and just had a little girl on New Years day. They just moved back to Michigan but we still keep in touch.
So far this year...
I have started back to work after having Daxx. We have dealt with 2 very close to us deaths in the family. January was very very hard!! But now it is looking better. February has been good so far. Daxx is getting absolutely HUGE!! He has been such a blessing to our family!!
Yesterday...
I got up and went to work (almost on time!) Scott took Owen and his cousin Brooklyn to preschool. When I got home I helped clean out the carport and made dinner for us and for my sister who was very sick. I picked up her girls from school and came home. After we had dinner I did bath time and wile I was finishing up with Daxx, Sydney struck!! See the next post and that will explain that! Finally it was bedtime!! Scott and I stayed up late talking.
Today...
I got up and came to work again. I really enjoy my job. But the best part of the day so far is that Daxx slept for 8 hours straight last night!! I left work for a minute to take Memo (our dog) to the groomers. We are trying to get him trained to be inside sometimes but he was so dirty from being outside he needed a serious bath. The groomer has her work cut out for her!
Later tonight...
I am VERY excited about tonight! It is the cattleman's dinner. We go every year with Scott's dad. It is by far the best meal of the year and the people there are great! It is farmers and their families and I count the days every year to this event!!
Tomorrow...
I hope to get my house picked up and cleaned!! I will come to work and while I am here I will work and play with Daxx. (He is my work buddy!) Scott will probably be working so after I get off I will pick up the kids and probably just be home the rest of the day.
This year I hope to...
I really want to finish up on our house projects. When we bought our house we gutted the inside and there is still some stuff to be done. I want to grow a big ginormous garden!! I WILL play with my kids more and not worry about the small stuff. I probably better add that I should and plan someday to cut back on my Pepsi intake. Ok maybe not - let's be realistic!!
I am going to tag Cami but I have to get her to get her blog up and going!! Let's get going on that!!
